Our Terms & Conditions: Your Guide to a Great Experience
Last Updated: October 1, 2024
General
- The Promoter reserves the right to refuse admission to the ice rink and/or the venue and to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of all visitors.
- The Promoter may request visitors to leave the venue at any time. The Promoter also reserves the right to remove individuals who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or who, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, are behaving in a manner deemed inappropriate for their continued attendance.
- Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is prohibited within the ice rink venue.
- No food or drink, other than that purchased on the premises is permitted in the Skate Exchange. No food or drink is permitted on the ice.
- The Promoter reserves the right to close the ice rink and access to areas within the grounds at short notice and without prior warning if necessary. The Promoter’s decision in such matters is final.
- By entering the site, visitors consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded as attendees of the ice rink, and agree to such materials being used by the Promoter for promotional purposes in the future.
- Skating under the influence of alcohol is not permitted. Ice Rink Canary Wharf reserves the right to remove individuals deemed to be a risk to the safety of others.
- We run a cashless business, so no cash should be offered to any staff for any of the services that we provide.
Tickets
- Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on the ice. Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied on the ice by a parent or guardian aged 13 or over for safety reasons. A maximum of 6 children per skater aged 13 or over is permitted.
- Admission to the ice rink is by ticket only. All skaters must have a valid ticket. Tickets are issued subject to the venue’s rules and regulations.
- Online bookings are subject to a booking fee of £3.95 (including VAT).
- Tickets cannot be resold, exchanged, refunded, or transferred. Altering or defacing a ticket will render it void. It is the patron’s responsibility to check their tickets, as errors cannot always be rectified. The Promoter is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.
- The ticket holder is entitled only to a session of the value specified on the ticket.
- Tickets are priced per 45-minute session and include skate hire. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled session. During peak periods (Monday to Friday after 5:00 pm and weekends after 12:00 pm), we recommend arriving up to 30 minutes prior due to higher visitor numbers.
- Each session lasts 45 minutes from the start time. Entry is permitted after the session has commenced, but you will have less time on the ice. Ticket holders will not be allowed to continue skating once their allocated session has ended.
Filming & Photography
- By purchasing a ticket, you consent to being photographed, filmed, and/or recorded. Your entry constitutes consent to such activities and to the use of such media in any form for promotional purposes globally and indefinitely.
- Personal photographs are permitted. For health and safety reasons, selfie sticks, large cameras, video cameras, and audio recording devices are not allowed on the ice. The use of tripods is prohibited on-site.
- For professional filming and photography requests, prior written approval from the Ice Rink Canary Wharf Marketing team is required, along with a granted permit.
- To request professional filming or photography, please complete the filming application form. Due to high demand, please allow at least 48 hours for the team to review your request upon receiving the form.
Skate Aids
- Ice Rink Canary Wharf limits the number of skate aids available on the ice (15 during busy sessions). Skate aids are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Skate aids are available for child skaters up to 1.5m in skates.
Refunds
- In the event of a cancelled or curtailed session, ticket holders will be offered an alternative session, subject to availability. If the venue manager deems it necessary to close the rink, alternative sessions will be provided based on availability. No refunds or alternative sessions will be offered if you are removed from the rink or venue for inappropriate behaviour.
Online Transactions
- Ice Rink Canary Wharf uses Stripe, a secure third-party electronic commerce platform regulated by the FCA, to process all transactions. Ice Rink Canary Wharf, its operating company, or its affiliated businesses do not store or have access to any credit or debit card details.
Risk
- Participating in ice skating involves inherent risks. Participation is entirely at the skater’s own risk. Individuals with medical conditions, serious previous injuries, recent fractures, joint problems, head injuries, pregnancy, mobility issues, or those on prescribed medication should carefully assess their ability to participate safely. The Promoter is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage, except for personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for personal property left at the rink or in lockers.
- In the event of a conflict between these terms and the terms of any ticket agency, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
